Description:

From Lewis & Clark Festival Website:

Since 1989, the Lewis & Clark Festival has delighted audiences of all ages with an authentic Lewis and Clark experience. Come join us as we re-discover the land, the history and the Native cultures of this epic journey.

Some changes to the Lewis & Clark Festival this year
For our 25th Lewis & Clark Festival, we've moved the location to Gibson Park! The organizing committee made this decision as Gibson Park is centrally located in downtown Great Falls, and has many amenities making for an enjoyable visitor experience shade trees, soft grass, ample parking, and plenty of space for multiple program sites. In addition, we've moved the date to the third weekend in June, to avoid conflicts with other area events the last weekend of the month.

New Programs and Living Exhibits
For the first time, we will host a tipi encampment with five tipis from different tribal traditions. Included are a Blackfeet Painted Tipi, Tule Tipi, Quill Tipi, Birch Bark Tipi, and a Buffalo Hide Tipi. Native presenters will be on hand to give presentations on their tipis.

Other programs include Native Hand Games, Drummers, Building a Bull Boat, black powder shoot, and a Buffalo Kite Flying exhibition in nearby Elks Riverside Park. The Lewis and Clark Honor Guard and staff from the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center will present a variety of fascinating programs every day, on the hour.

Live Music
Four musical groups will be featured at the Festival, with Rob Quist in a headline performance Friday evening. Other musical talent includes Peter and Molly Wilson and The Rivertown Rounders.

Children's Programs...
The Festival will feature a Discovery Day Camp for Children, and a Kid's trading post, where children can bring a trade good and hone their bartering skills with a seasoned trader.

Float Trips
The Lewis & Clark Festival will feature three float trips on the Missouri River. Day floats include Morony Dam, and the Wolf Creek Canyon, along with a 3-day float through the spectacular White Cliffs area.

Food Concessions
Five food concessions will be located in the parking lot.

Master Crafters Marketplace
Several arts and crafts vendors will be a feature all three days of the Lewis & Clark Festival.
