36th Annual Bitter Root Day

Bookmark and Share
Location Hamilton
Dates June 10, 2017 - June 10, 2017
Description:

From 36th Annual Bitter Root Day Website:

Ravalli County Museums Bitter Root Day event is a cultural heritage celebration of both the Salish (the original inhabitants of the Bitter Root Valley) and the community that currently resides here. It is centered around two stories one sacred, one historical, and both are an important part of who we are and how we pass that legacy on to future generations.

Special thanks to The Peoples Center Museum, in Pablo Montana, who coordinate efforts with us to bring in traditional Salish dancers, drummers, and artists to celebrate with us and share the beautiful culture of the Salish People. The Peoples Center also provides a wonderful display centered on Salish culture and a raffle. Tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5.
