The Bitter Root Arts Guild will have their annual Christmas Show Friday and Saturday, November 08 and 09, 2019 at the 1st Interstate Building at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds. The event is free. The hours are 11 am to 4 pm on Friday and 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday. The show features unique crafts, one of a kind art, and jewelry. There will be something for everyone there.

The group has nearly 40 active members from the valley. They are as diverse as the arts and crafts they create. From fine art to quilts to stonework, these individuals make, remake, paint, or tool fancy gifts for that hard to please person.

Interest is starting early this year! Come to see mixed media, woodworking, bead-weaving, basket weaving, Christmas wreaths and ornaments, pottery, photography, Steam Punk art, textile art, watercolor, and oil painting and so much more.

The Guilds other big event is in the summer when they put on their annual Art in the Park usually the third Saturday in July at the Legions Park, 200 N 10th St, Hamilton, Montana.
The Bitterroot Arts Guild shows are juried shows to ensure there are not too many booths of any one medium or genre. The proceeds from the shows mainly go to Grants for grade schools art programs in the Ravalli County School system. The recipeints are chosen based on program content and need.

The organization also completed the construction on the inside of the old art building at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds. They built a bathroom, insulated and put in heating so there would be a place to have events in the colder months. Although they don't have regular meetings, the group welcomes new members. Just stop in and see what they offer and maybe youll want to join this local art group too.
